An acupuncturist who has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine has been trained to address the physical, emotional, and mental well being of their patients. When you come into our clinic for the first time, we will take the time to listen to you and understand your situation. Our practitioners are skilled listeners. We will also take the time to explain how acupuncture works. We believe the better you understand the treatment, the better the outcome will be.
Get ready for a deeply relaxing experience. After listening to you, the acupuncturist may be do some range of motion or orthopedic testing to assess the situation. Once the assessment is made, the needles will be inserted. The number is depends on what’s happening with you that day. After checking to make sure you are comfortable and warm enough, we let you rest on one of our massage tables. Many people enjoy this experience and quite a few fall asleep! Each room has relaxing music playing, with options for heat on the table or not, as well as warming heat lamps. You will usually rest by yourself approximately 20 minutes.
A Plan
When the treatment is concluded, you may receive additional instructions around food and exercise options, or herb formulas that would enhance your treatment. We will also explain how many treatments you should receive and how often. Acupuncture works over time. We always give you the best plan we can for you and your specific needs.
